The enthusiasm, effort and generosity shown by everyone since the Feathers 5K registration opened has been absolutely extraordinary and it is appreciated!
Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) truly wishes that it were possible to “flock together” on August 15, 2020 at Town Brookhaven. However, for the health and safety of attendees and their families, coworkers, sponsors, and the general public, this will be held as a virtual event this year.
PARTICIPATE IN THIS VIRTUAL EVENT BY RUNNING OR WALKING
3.1 MILES BETWEEN AUGUST 13 - 16, 2020
The FEATHERS 5K is a community based and family friendly FUNDraiser event in which participants can help make the financial burden of cancer as light as a feather! Proceeds from this event will be used to support Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation’s worthy mission.
Please note that ACCF is unable to offer t-shirts/race bags to participants who register after 7/1/20.
People who want to contribute, but do not plan to run can still sign-up as a "Phantom Runner" or make an online donation. Participants can still create individual or team race and fundraiser pages.
What does “virtual” mean? It means that you can walk or run wherever it is safe to do so – whether that is in your neighborhood, a park or on a treadmill. If this activity is done with your family, friends, or team members, please follow CDC guidelines (www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html).
Download the free RaceJoy app from the App Store or GooglePlay:

-MeetUp tool for seeing where you are in relation to a participant.
-Automatic Progress Postings to Twitter (with your approval, of course!).

THANK YOU TO OUR CURRENT SPONSORS
The symbolism of ACCF’s logo is that our roots in the community are deep, and we continue to extend our outreach like the branches of a tree. The budding leaves symbolize the hope we strive to bring to local cancer survivors through financial assistance. The bird represents all of the ACCF donors, volunteers and supporters who continue to prove that every act of support makes a difference. The specific color of the bird is lavender, which represents cancer awareness of all kinds.
